Mahmoud the Grappler


 Co-founder at L3b, is an educator, consultant, researcher, speaker and grappler. He holds a Ph.D in Education and a Master’s in Science and Religion from the University of Oxford. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from LAU. As an educator, Mahmoud teaches at the Department of Education at the Lebanese American University  and has facilitated numerous workshops for principals, administrators and teachers at public and private schools as well as in collaboration with several governmental and non-governmental organizations across Lebanon. He has worked with the Center for Educational Research and Development (CERD), Higher Council for Childhood – Ministry of Social Affairs (HCC – MOSA), UNICEF, UNESCO, among others. As a consultant, Mahmoud is currently supporting the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MEHE) in developing the National Education SDG4 2030 Strategy for Lebanon. As a researcher, Mahmoud has participated in several international conferences on teacher education and professional learning and is a member of the editorial committee of the Journal of Education Policy Development and Innovation (JEPDI). As a speaker, Mahmoud has presented at several local and international events including TEDxBeirut, TEDxEast (New York), among others. At L3b, he is known as the Grappler; constantly grappling with a multitude of ideas to maintain a third space open for surprising possibilities.
